When metal
becomes furniture
The blacksmith paradigm
For decades the blacksmith stayed confined to the building trade: gates, railings, load-bearing structures. An enormous technical skill, invisible to the world of furniture and design.
Worked with precision, metal becomes a table, a lamp, a shelf, an architectural element. It does not occupy a space, it defines it.
Nuzzi was born from this conviction: the blacksmith’s skill, joined with a designer’s sensibility, produces objects that no other process can replicate.
Our production processin five stages
01. Consultation
We listen to every need to turnan idea into a concrete project.
03. Making
Every piece is made by hand, with theprecision of those who have always worked iron.
05. Installation
Installation is part of the project:nothing is left to chance.
02. Engineering
Iron takes shape on paper, before it ever does in the workshop.
04. Finishing
The detail that makes the differencebetween an object and a work.

Stainless steel

Brass

Copper

Corten

Cold bluing
Cold bluing of brass and copper: a controlled oxidation process carried out by hand. It produces warm, deep, uneven shades ranging from antique brown to smoke black.

Satin finishing
We create directional micro-scratches on the metal surface (particularly on stainless steel and brass) to soften the mirror shine into a muted, silky reflection that is highly resistant to fingerprints.

Mirror polishing
A progressive mechanical and manual brushing that removes every trace of porosity from the metal. The result is a flawless reflective surface, free of visual distortion and imperfections.

Powder coating
Thermosetting synthetic resins applied and oven-cured; the result is complete protection from the weather, plus unique tactile textures: wrinkled, micaceous, matt or custom metallic effects across the RAL range.

Corten (controlled, stabilised oxidation)
We accelerate corten’s natural passivation to obtain its characteristic warm, tactile rust colour, then stop the flaking with specific sealing treatments.

Black mill-scale iron (Living Metal)
We preserve the thermal oxide layer that forms during the hot rolling of iron. With its bluish tints and anthracite flames, protected by natural waxes or matt clear coats, it is the essence of a refined industrial style.

Epoxy coating
A coating based on epoxy resins, notable for its exceptional adhesion to the metal substrate and very high chemical and mechanical resistance. It creates an extremely hard, sealing protective barrier.
